Issue :
"My floating cable is tangled!"
Solution :
"With proper use, and care, the tangle resistant floating cable will remain supply and tangle free. The icleaner is not designed to stay in the water, so if you are leaving it in the water, you will void your warranty, so please do not do this."
03 FLOATING CABLE IS TANGLED?
When the robot has finished it's cycle, disconnect the floating cable from the power supply, and wind it up carefully hand over hand. Please it neatly on the caddy, and store the iCleaner and caddy in a dry well ventilated area.
(you can also purchase a cover for the robot and caddy from the spare parts page)
When putting the iCleaner into the water, unroll the floating cable so that it lays flat on the ground, and allow the iCleaner to take whatever lead it needs to clean the pool. Do not through the whole floating cable into the pool unnecessarily.
Issue :
"My floating cable has become so tangled I cannot use it,"
Solution :
"The floating cable is a remarkable product, and can be recovered from this situation. Untangle the floating cable, and then untwisted it until it is laying as flat as possible. Where there are sharp folds in the floating cable, gently bend them in the opposite direction to remove the kink. It won't be perfect, but it will be substantial better. Then, allow the floating cable to rest in the warm sun for a few hours. After this roll it up carefully, and put it away. Follow the instructions above next time you use the iCleaner,"
04 DIRT FALLS OUT WHEN I PULL IT OUT OF WATER!
The original base plate
The original base plate has locking tabs attached to the side of the iCleaner. It also has hooks at each end that hold the filter bag on. (refer to the image below)
Issue :
"The side clips come undone and the bag falls out when lifted out of the pool,"
Solution :
1. Ensure the filter bag is fitted correctly, and that the filter bag material is not
caught between the base of the iCleaner and the base plate. This puts extra
pressure on the locking clips and may cause them to come undone.
2. If the clips look like they have splayed outwards (bent) order replacement parts
from our website. They are very affordable, and easy to fit using a philips head
screw driver, and a 7mm spanner.

2nd generation
base plate

1st generation
base plate
Issue :
Dirt falls back into the water when lifting the iCleaner out of the pool
Solution :
1. Ensure the iCleaner is pulled towards you and lifted out of the water in a
smooth continuous motion. Stopping halfway, or at the pool surface, allows the
water following the iCleaner to push the water retaining boards open, causing
debris to fall out.
2. Request an upgrade to the second generation base plate. (refer spare parts for
cost, plus postage and handling). This modification can be performed by the
home handy person, and will requires the use of a power drill to modify the
iCleaners main body. If you are not able to do this, the iCleaner will need to be
return to our workshop. Courier delivery fees will apply - contact us to organise
the courier for you.
The second generation base plate has slide out locking tabs fitted to the base plate (refer to the image below)
Issue :
"I can't open the sliding tabs, so I cannot clean the filter bag,"
Solution :
1. If there is a lot of grit in the pool, there is a chance that some of this is wedged in the locking device on the inside of the
filter bag. To remove the dirt from the locking mechanism, lift up the back of the sliding tab, and squirt water under it.
This will flush out the grit, and allow the lock to slide open.
2. If this continues to be a problem for you, contact our service team for an updated replacement part to be posted to you
at no cost. Quote Part Number 605229
05 BASE PLATE WON'T OPEN ?
Step 1.
Lift the back of the sliding tab, and flush with water.

QUESTIONS? GET IN TOUCH.
Step 2.
Existing clip can allow grit to build up behind it, this prevents the lock from opening

Step 3.
Call 1300 88 66 09 and request part number 605229 (its the one on the left)

Step 4
Insert the new larger locking mechanism, which seals the gap, preventing dirt from entering the locking mechanism
